Beware of Counterfeit CIALIS

CIALIS is available only with a prescription from your doctor. Don't buy CIALIS from websites that offer to sell CIALIS to you without a prescription. The drugs they sell may be counterfeit (fake), illegal, and possibly dangerous. The only way you can be sure you're getting real CIALIS is by getting a prescription from your doctor and taking it to your local pharmacy or a certified online pharmacy to have it filled.

CIALIS Pills

Stay away from any website that:

  • Offers CIALIS at a price that's much lower than the price at your local pharmacy or at a price that seems "too good to be true"
  • Doesn't list a street address or contact information, especially if it's not located in the United States
  • Sells prescription medications without a prescription, or after a short online survey or review by a remotely located physician
  • Offers generic, "soft tab," or "fast dissolve" CIALIS. There is no generic for CIALIS, and CIALIS only comes as an almond-shaped tablet that is swallowed whole.
  • Directs you to its website by sending you an e-mail (Eli Lilly and Company, the maker of CIALIS, will never send you e-mails unless you ask for them)

The reason for all these precautions is simple: safety. Studies and investigations have proven that many online pharmacies are not what they seem. In fact, a recent study of 116 online pharmacy websites by the European Alliance for Access to Safe Medicines concluded that:*

  • Only 5 percent were appropriately licensed or certified
  • 80 percent did not have an actual physical address
  • 50 percent did not provide a patient information leaflet with medicines
  • 62 percent sold medicines that were sub-standard or counterfeit

Be safe! Only use online pharmacies that are accredited by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.

To minimize your chances of getting fake CIALIS, make sure your prescription is filled at a US-based or accredited online pharmacy. Online pharmacies with Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites™ (VIPPS) accreditation have had their facilities inspected and their practices reviewed by the NABP.
