Staying on Track
After you've met with your doctor and talked with him or her about erectile dysfunction (ED), you may get a prescription for CIALIS and be ready to start treatment.
To help you get the most from treatment with CIALIS, you should keep these key things in mind:
Make sure you're taking CIALIS as directed by your doctor.
When an ED tablet doesn't work, it may be because a man is not taking it correctly. It's important to understand how to take CIALIS and how it works. Here are some things to remember when taking CIALIS:
- Simply taking CIALIS by itself should not give you an erection, or increase your sexual desire, thoughts, or behavior. Sexual stimulation is necessary for CIALIS to work.
- For 36-hour CIALIS, you should take one tablet at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. Everyone is different, so you may need to take 36-hour CIALIS an hour or more before sexual activity. After you've taken 36-hour CIALIS a few times, you'll know the timing that works best for you. Do not take more than one tablet per day.
- For CIALIS for daily use, you should take one tablet at around the same time every day. Keep in mind that you may need to take CIALIS for daily use for a few days before it starts working for you.
Stay in touch with your doctor.
Continue talking with your doctor to let him or her know how treatment with CIALIS is going. Call your doctor if you experience any side effect that bothers you or does not go away. Be sure to let your doctor know if you are not getting the results you had hoped for, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
It's important to remember that taking CIALIS will not cure ED, increase your sexual desire, protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases, or act as male birth control.
For additional information about CIALIS for daily use or 36-hour CIALIS, talk with your doctor or pharmacist.
