CIALIS for daily use (5 mg) for erectile dysfunction (ED) and the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

The same CIALIS for daily use (5 mg) that is taken for ED is the only tablet approved to treat ED and the symptoms of BPH, like needing to go frequently or urgently. The recommended starting dose of CIALIS for daily use for the treatment of ED is 2.5 mg.

There is a single medication that treats both conditions

Even though ED and BPH are separate conditions, they often coexist. If you’re one of the many men with both ED and the symptoms of BPH, CIALIS for daily use (5 mg) may treat your BPH symptoms too, like needing to go frequently or urgently.

Tell your healthcare provider about all your medical conditions and medications, and ask if your heart is healthy enough for sexual activity. Do not take CIALIS if you take nitrates such as isosorbide dinitrate or isosorbide mononitrate, which are often prescribed for chest pain, or if you use recreational drugs called "poppers" such as amyl nitrite or butyl nitrite, as this may cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure. Do not drink alcohol in excess with CIALIS. Side effects may include headache, upset stomach, delayed backache, or muscle ache. To avoid long-term injury, seek immediate medical help for an erection lasting more than 4 hours. If you have any sudden decrease or loss in hearing or vision, stop taking CIALIS and call your healthcare provider right away.

CIALIS is available by prescription only. For additional information, talk to your healthcare provider and see full Patient Information and Prescribing Information.
